Youths Attack Obaseki’s Counsel at Tribunal premises
Benin City - ONE of the counsels to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in the on-going Election Petition Tribunal in Edo State, Ken Mozia (SAN) escaped death yesterday when youths allegedly loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) attacked his Prado jeep after yesterday’s proceedings.
Meanwhile, the PDP and its governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu concluded their submission.
The attack on Mozia (SAN) happened at the exit gate of the Tribunal while he was on a convoy with some of his colleagues. But while the vehicles in front of his car drove off, on sighting his car, the PDP youths blocked it at the exit gate and started banging on the glasses, while casting aspersions at him.
When it was clear that the youths were determined to destroy his louvers so as to get at him, his driver threatened to hit the youths with the vehicle, thereafter zoomed off to save the life of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Speaking to Edoconnect shortly after the incident, Mozia (SAN) who described the incident as shocking lamented that “ I have earlier informed the security agents to stop these youths from converging at the exit gate because it is dangerous for us. And it happened today, the moment they saw me they started shouting thief thief, APC thief and blocked my car.
