The Rich Benin Culture: Edocated & The National Union Of Benin Students Lead the Way In Promotin
National union of Benin students, Ambrose Alli university, Ekpoma chapter, is an association founded on the aim of Uniting the benins in the campus in order to promote the rich Benin cultural heritage. In Ekpoma and environs we also show attention to our brothers and sisters in times of needs in situations like welfare, academic problem and also to teach Benin rich history and culture. On the 17th of August 2017, the above association celebrated their annual Edo day to show case their cultural heritage in the campus. Friends, lecturers and alumni travelled far and near to celebrate with them. HRH Chief Patrick Omorogieva JP, the Ohen-igie of irighon, The DVC Administration of Ambrose Alli University,Ekpoma, Prof. Agho Jude Aigbe, The school dean, Prof Don Akhilomen, the Director of department of ENT, Engr osadolor odia and the Edonirisi association ( Ekpoma chapter) headed by Prof Oviasuyi .
Osasumwen precious Iyayi,founder of Edocated Intiative, gave a speech on the need for youths to embrace the association and contribute their talents, time and resources for the growth and development for our beloved state. For the foundation starts from the association, the speaker went further to elaborate that her "Edocated" career started from the association, her foundation was the association, where she got acquitted with the stories, culture and language of the Edo people. She urge others to dread on same path in other to preserve and propagate Edo culture for the youths are the greatness of the Edo nation. cultural dance presentations and launching of the association annual almanac. Akobeghian,was live on stage and the students dance and celebrated the beauty and culture of the Great Benin Kingdom.
I plead Edo state government, Royal fathers, associations, unions etc to partner and support this association achieve their goals and objectives.
