Over A Hundred Suspects Arrested In Connection With CDA Activities In Edo State
Edo State Committee on private property protection says it has arrested over a hundred suspects in connection with land matters and outlawed community development association activities.
The Public Relation Officer of the Committee, Mr Osaro Obazee disclosed this while fielding questions from Adesuwa Lato on the level of Compliance with the CDA law in the state.
Mr Osaro Obazee said some of the suspects have been arraigned in court, with a number of them remanded in custody.
He said the committee on private property protection was put in place by Governor Godwin Obaseki to among others enforce the CDA law by ensuring that a stop is effectively put to the activities of the proscribed CDA’s.
The committee image maker said although success is being recorded in the task of implementing the CDA law, there are some challenges being faced by the committee.
Mr Obazee advised those still carrying out CDA activities under any guise to desist from the action, warning that the committee will arrest anyone caught in the act.
