Janet Jackson appeared to be saving her troubles for another day on Wednesday as she indulged in a little retail therapy in London.
It marked the first time that the superstar has been seen in public since the news that she and husband Wissam Al Mana had split after five years of marriage.
The couple welcomed their first child, son Eissa, in January.
For her first outing as a single lady in almost a decade, Janet kept covered up in $2200 black wool-blend poncho from Chloe, a pair of harem pants and a hat that appeared to have 'Bobby Taylor' written across the front.
Taylor was a Motown singer who was part of the soul group Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers and was close to the Jackson children.
And while Janet did keep largely covered up she did offer a peak at her flawless skin and perfectly curled and colored hair, which was stacked atop her head over her hat.
It is unclear what Janet may have been shopping for, but she brought along the right person for the job in world-famous makeup artist Pat McGrath.
The two women were seen going in and out of the fake plant store Fake Landscapes with options that could be used for Janet's new bachelorette pad.
McGrath may have also organized the trip to gather some decorations for the new office of their friend Edward Enninful, who on Monday was announced as the new editor of British Vogue.
The pair then moved along to check out some of the designs at a nearby furniture store.
It was the same furniture store that Janet had visited while pregnant in another rare public appearance.
McGrath wore her hair pulled back in her signature hairband and an army green jacket with a pink flower embroidered on the back.
Janet shocked the world last year when she announced that she was pregnant with her first child at the age of 50.
The singer announced back in April that she would be postponing her world tour on doctor's orders as she and her husband were trying to start a family.
Then, in June, her brother Tito confirmed that she was expecting her first child, and Janet confirmed the news in October.
Janet posted a video back in April on her Instagram account in which she told fans: 'I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.
'Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.'
Then, in January, Janet welcomed her son, but it seems that it was not all good news as she and Al Mana announced soon after they were parting ways.
Rumors began to swirl of troubles just days after Janet gave birth when she appeared in public without her wedding ring.
It was the third union for Janet, who was briefly married to singer James DeBarge in 1984 and then married Mexican back-up dancer Rene Elizondo in 1991 before splitting in 2000.
No one ever knew the pair were even married, and Janet ended up handing over a reported $10million in the divorce settlement.
It is the singer who will likely receive a pay day this time around, with her husband worth an estimated $1billion.
