The Commissioner for Oil and Gas in Edo, Mr Joseph Ugheoke, has warned fuel station owners against sharp practices while dispensing petrol to customers.
Ugheoke gave the warning when he inspected some fuel stations within Benin City on Monday.
He said the government would begin to apply sanctions against any station found wanting within the next two weeks.
The commissioner further called on all stations in the state to adhere strictly to the prescribed price template of the Petroleum Product Pricing Regularly Agency.
He said that his team was on sensitization visit to the stations, warning that his ministry would also commence sealing off of erring stations soon.
