As the countdown to the first Super 4 Women’s Championship continues, it has been revealed that the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, venue of the event, will wear a new look during the event to showcase the growth and importance that the Edo State Government accords to women football.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Professional Women League, Aisha Falode, who spoke on the issue, said she does not mean renovation of the stadium but putting the stadium in such a shape that will show that women football has a new frontier with the support of the Edo State Government.

Falode said the Edo State FA Chairman, Frank Ilaboya, has assured that all the teams coming for the tourney will receive the best of hospitality from the ever warm people of the State, adding that the event is set to redefine women football in the country.

Falode again seized the opportunity to heap praises on the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, for offering to sponsor the Super 4, noting that it shows that apart from the men, Governor Obaseki and his able deputy, Hon Philip Shuaibu have demonstrated a love that has never been shown before for women’s football in Nigeria and Africa.
