The Odionwere of the UK and Ireland, Pa (Engr. Bernard Eguagie Woghiren, has received news of the destruction and misery wrought on the people of Texas and Louisiana in the USA by Hurricane Harvey. News media images of this 'act of God' are heart-rending. For those outside the theatre of affliction, the impact of this weather phenomenon is only imagined in horror and disbelief.
The Edo in the United Kingdom and Ireland are one with the Odionwere in expressing solidarity with, and in proffering thoughtful wishes to Edo compatriots who live in the region impacted by this natural disaster. We pray Osa n' Udazi, in His benevolence, protects and expedites victims' recovery from the adversity unleashed by this devastating hurricane.
The Odionwere shares the grief of all affected, especially members of Edo National Association (ENA) and members of Umagbae.
As always, the Odionwere's prayers remain and abide with Edo everywhere.
Oba gha to, okpere; Ise.
