“You Are A Coward And Liar!”- Kanu Nwankwo’s Wife, Amara Rains Insults, Curses On Brother-In-Law
All does not appear to be well between wife of former Super Eagles captain and Nigerian football legend, Kanu Nwankwo and his younger brother, Ogbonnaya Kanu.
Papillo, as the former Arsenal striker is called by his fans faces a big task as he tries to put his house in order. His wife, Amara Kanu and his younger brother, who is also Linda Ikeji’s younger sister, Laura Ikeji’s husband seem to be at loggerheads with the architectural designer wife of the former African footballer of the year raining insults and curses on Ogbonnaya.
Ogbonnaya, a former football player too whose career was cut short as a result of nasty injuries suffered, posted a ticket acquired for a Leeds City match on his Instagram handle. This infuriated Kanu’s wife, Amara who claimed the ticket belonged to her son and that Ogbonnaya usurped the little boy to take a place beside her husband in the She called her brother-in-law “a coward” and a “liar” while she also labelled accusations of distorting her family’s peace against the former Ajax Amsterdam, Inter Milan and Peterborough player.
Amara, who obviously was furious further rained curses on Ogbonnaya in Yoruba, calling him, “oloshi” which means a wretched soul and “oloriburuku” meaning an unfortunate person. She further declared her readiness to engage the former Super Eagles player in what looks like a bitter feud between the pair.
The reason for Amara’s anger is yet to be ascertained.
Recall that Kanu Nwankwo got married to Amara in 2004 on a day Nigeria also defeated the Desert Foxes of Algeria 1-0 in Abuja with Joseph Yobo heading in the only goal. Amara and Papillo have been married for almost fourteen years and they are blessed with two sons and a daughter.
