Took me a while to get myself together. That still stings. Worst day as a football fan ever. I guess the World Cup experience isn’t complete without feeling the sadness of a crushing defeat. Boy did it hurt! It was an amazing experience and some memories that last a lifetime.

Nigeria´s Super Eagles defeated by the Argentinian Team 2:1 in a dramatic third round Group D match today. The Super Eagles fought a brave fight and would have deserved a second penalty after Argentina´s central defender stopped the ball with his arm in the second half, thus preventing an imminent goal from Ighalo. However I hail the Nigerian team for their performances in Russia and hope they will get a befitting rousing welcome when they return home! Up up Super Eagles, Up up Nigeria!

They did their best but it was not good enough. In the end it must be for us to keep working hard…

Coach Gernot Rohr please resign immediately as a matter of honour. You killed the opportunity for Nigeria to excel.
