Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf busted collecting bribe for players' selection

Head coach Salisu Yusuf has been busted collecting money from fake football agents to include some players in his squad

 

- The Eagles home based boss was given N360,000 to pick two players for the 2018 CHAN championship - He was further promised 15% of the players' deal once they are able to seal a deal abroad Nigeria head coach Salisu Yusuf was caught on camera collecting money from an undercover journalist posing as football agents to select two of their players for the 2018 African Nations Championship which was staged in Morocco earlier this year. Nigeria got to the final of the championship for the first time at the 5th edition of the tournament but lost 4-1 to the host nation and settle down for bronze medal. They were bundled out of the 2016 edition at the group stage under former coach Sunday Oliseh in Rwanda

However, the video, which was filmed by Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in September 2017 showed the former Kano Pillars and Enyimba boss receiving a sum of $1000 to include the two unnamed players in his squad. Meanwhile, the Eagles' head coach was promised a part of the players' transfer money
