Edo Entertainment Control (EEC) is a musical programme comprising of music from Edo artistS Worldwide. EEC is produced by Edo Connect UK to enable members of the Edo diaspora see the talent we have in Edo State and let them see what they can do to help this industry.
EEC was started 3 months ago with the aim of being a monthly programme to give Edo artist much needed exposure. The plan is that the exposure will lead to international support from the Edo international Community, who should hire our artists to perform abroad to project our culture and create further opportunities. It also provides an avenue to change the mindset of our Edo youths by creating drivers of good messages and rewarding good behaviour.
EEC will create employment, help reduce crime, and not only will it prevent migration out of Edo state, it will also attract Edo youths back from Ghana, Libya, Lagos, Benin republic and other remote parts of the World back to Edo State.
EEC has not been consistent and is in danger of stopping because we are unable to find any form of financial support from the Edo Diaspora or Edo State to carry on despite its positive advantages.
Edo Connect is now calling on Edos for support. It cost approximately £500 to produce an Episode of EEC and we want to do it for 1 year. A year is enough for enable Edos worldwide to plan how we can use Edo artists for the good of all Edos and how we can reward them.
