Nigerian President Muhammad Buhari's office on Sunday banned the country's Islamic Movement activities and announced it as a terrorist organization.

Sheikh Zakzaki reacted to the Nigerian government's actions and said that conspiracies to ban Nigeria's Islamic Movement activities have been underway since 2015, so such an order is not odd, Iran Press reported.

It is while in 2016, Nigeria’s federal high court ordered his unconditional release from jail following a trial, but the government has so far refused to set him free.
